Cheesy Roast Beef and Onion Sandwiches

Serve these sandwiches with their retro flair at your next picnic. Pair deli roast beef with a 1960s-style cheese spread and finish it off with canned French fried onions! Just remember to add the onions at the last minute for maximum crunchiness.

Ingredients: 

  • 8 slices Nature’s Own Honey 7 Grain Bread

  • 1 package (8 ounces) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese

  • Hot sauce, to taste

  • Baby spinach or arugula

  • 12 ounces deli-sliced roast beef

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup canned French fried onions or onion-flavored snack rings

Directions: 

  • Stir together cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in Cheddar cheese and hot sauce.

  • Arrange spinach on 4 bread slices. Top with roast beef.

  • Carefully spread cream cheese mixture over roast beef. Top with onions.

  • Close sandwiches. To serve, cut sandwiches into halves.
